Author's Note - The Water Bottle

Often I feel that I have been given that blessing to remember the dreams which I wanted to remember after I wake up. Alhumdullilah for that. This one story is also something that I have seen in my dream. The first and the last part is described the same as I saw in my dream. The second and the third part is a logical connect I made in my mind to tell the story. it may feel philosophical, but that was what I saw. So i would like to share this with you all. The Water Bottle- Part 4

Everyone was equally shocked. This time it wasn't murmuring. The voice was huge enough to hear.  Rohaan had no change of behavior. He , asked the person next to him , to excuse him..  What followed next was unpredictable. Every single person in that row stood up and stepped out from that row to the walkway , so that he can have a smooth entry to the stage.!!!  Rohaan just gave a meaningful smile for this gesture. Mr. Roy at the stage didn't understand the meaning of this. But obviously for the people gathered there , it was clear. Rohaan took his laptop bag and his 2 water bottles along with him as he was walking to the podium. The entire hall stood up and gave  huge welcoming claps. He just walked calmly with that smile intact. He reached the stage, kept his laptop bag near the podium and the water bottles on the podium , shake hands with Mr.Roy and the other chief guests on the stage and proceed to the mic. Mr. Roy stepped down from the stage and took the seat in the front r

The Water Bottle - Part 3

Mr. Roy read that mail for at least 2-3 times just to confirm if this was real. He had that excitement to meet his friend for the first time. Mr. Roy literally became a fan of Rohaan that he hold a huge respect to him. Mr. Roy rushed back to the hall. The welcome speech was progressing. Mr.Roy went to the people who managed the organizers desk and took the attendance sheet. There he searched if he could see Rohaan's name. it was there. 5th from the last. but it was named as "Shahzaad Rohaan", he just reversed it! so that people won't notice it quickly. Mr. Roy expected these kind of strange things from him. He was the chief guest here. But He entered there as a participant and nobody understood. Even the organizers desk didn't notice , as they were in a last minute rush. Mr. Roy scanned the entire hall. He knew ,it was a useless thing to do. But Mr .Roy did know that Rohaan had figured him out. That was the only hope  Mr. Roy had.  An anchor from the backstage app

The Water Bottle - Part 2

Mr. Roy was deeply disturbed and was delving in his own thoughts that he didn't even notice the mess happened in the hall. He was recalling the moments of planning this meet. Mr. Roy was a well established professor of the college. He had connections with the international scientists and had had published highly cited articles. while he was reading one article online that he came across one paper of a scientist. This one paper was a gem that he kept on reading the paper till the end. He searched for the writer. There wasn't any co-authors, it was a solid single man hard work. Mr. Roy searched this man in LinkedIn, Research Gate everywhere. He got a lot of paper in his name and all of the works had huge citations that may people based their thesis on this man's discoveries as a proving point for their argument. But to his surprise ,not a single photograph of this man was found online. Mr. Roy was more than curious this time. How in this digital age a man is able to hide his

The Water Bottle - Part 1

It was a high profile academic meeting hosted by a prestigious college. A well decorated stage was set up and chairs were arranged accordingly.   The audience arena was equally well arranged except that the walk way towards the stage was congested. But nobody felt a problem with this . People were busy talking, obviously well mannered. But it was evident that it was all a show off. Several well dressed people were present for the meeting and the young scholars were busy impressing the high profile professors and teachers there. Young scholars were enthusiastic and were also in hope to get into the research if they could impress the professors. Then there came an announcement from the backstage that the meeting and the scheduled presentation may begin within fifteen minutes and it was also announced that the chief guests were asked to take their seats on the stage. People stopped talking. They were in a rush to take the best of the seats.  Chief guests were proceeding to the stage.  A
